A Systematic Method To Experience Deep States Of Meditation
With Yogini Jaima
Yoga Nidra is a systemic method that enables one to experience deep states of relaxation and meditation that can be done by anyone at any age even if they have never meditated before.
It was brought to the world in 1965 by one of India’s great spiritual leaders, Swami Satyananda Saraswati, who saw an epidemic of stress and tension on the horizon due to our inability to adapt to the pace of modern life and relax.
The word ‘nidra’ means ‘sleep’ because as the waves of the subconscious become active during the practice ones awareness starts to slip as if falling into sleep. This state between waking and sleeping is also known as the theta brain wave, the wave of mind and body healing, creativity and intuition.
The subconscious and unconscious mind are the most powerful forces in a human being making up 95 percent of ones total consciousness and it is essential for ones health and happiness to develop the ability to access these waves.
Yoga Nidra induces relaxation and clears the nerve pathways to the brain, restoring imbalances and redirecting energy for healing and rejuvenation. It alters brainwave patterns to help you move into your subconscious mind, where you can change unwanted patterns of thought, behavior, and emotion. It brings balance to the body and mind and creates a new neuronal pattern which helps one to feel balanced under any circumstance. It balances ones emotions and develops will power to control emotional reactions in daily life. It allows you to receive intuitions from the unconscious mind enabling you to find answers to all challenges.
