YOGA NIDRA FOR CANCER PATIENTS

Cancer is afflicting more and more people in our sacred community so it has become a focus of mine to create healing practices for you during this challenging time. The most powerful and beneficial of these practices is a Yoga Nidra specifically for those who have been diagnosed with cancer and are going through the disease process or are in remission.

Yoga Nidra is a deep systematic practice and method that activates the waves of the subconscious to rewrite and correct any part of your life that you have difficulties with. It is such a simple but potent practice which can be done by anyone of any age. It was brought to the world in 1967 by Swami Satyananda Saraswati who took practices that were thousands of years old and created simple ways to follow them. Activating the waves of our subconscious not only turns on the bodies healing mechanisms but gives us access to the neuronal patterns that are the source of our mental and physical suffering.

Reprogramming which is processed at this level creates very specific changes in the body and mind that allow the practitioner to rewrite and correct any negative thought patters. Yogi and I are fortunate to be in the yoga lineage that this system was born from, which is a lineage of doctors and scientists who for decades have been doing studies to show the effects of various yoga practices on the body and brain.

As a result of being initiated into this lineage, I was able to access studies done with cancer patients and to observe which practices were most effective for those amidst this battle of wellness. This healing Yoga Nidra is based on these studies.

Conventional cancer treatments weaken the body and disturb the mind which make it difficult to do most other beneficial yoga practices. With this practice all you need to do is lie down, relax and follow guided instructions.

You will also during the beginning and end of this Yoga Nidra need to form your healing Sankalpa, which is a focus intention made into a short positive statement that is meaningful to you. This desire will be planted within the subconscious during the practice and start to manifest.

Swami Satayananda said himself that an intention made during Yoga Nidra will surely manifest in your life.

Please share this practice with anyone who has been diagnosed with cancer as a healing tool on their journey. May their complete health and peace be restored. We love you and are here for you all always.
