Dharana Meditation Practice 1 - Prana Awareness
As you begin your Dharana Practice series with this first technique, know that using the breath as a focus point will help you to start the process of slowing down the mind activity.
The breath is directly connected to all physiological aspects of your inner system which helps to slow down the heart rate and blood pressure. In this new state of “Pranic” awareness, you will be connecting the physical prana (life force energy) to the Cosmic Pranic Force which takes you into universal consciousness.
When we say that everything and everyone is connected, this is the level we are referring to the Cosmic energy field. And learning to control and focus on your breath will bring you closer to the state of Dhyana-Meditation.
