HOW TO MAKE SURE YOU FINISH YOUR NEXT IMPORTANT TASK

 

Yogi Cameron: Hi, everyone. This is Yogi Cameron.

Yogini Jaima: And I'm Yogini Jaima.

Yogi Cameron: And this is Inspire Living, where we answer your most pressing questions.

Yogini Jaima: The question is, how do I start something and make sure to finish it?

Yogi Cameron: How do we do that, Jaima?

Yogini Jaima: Well, I'll tell you what the yogic sciences say, and that is that all of creation has a formula, which consists of three energies. Let's call it powers. So anything that you want to create or manifest, you have to use the power of your mind, the power of will, and the power of action, okay? Mind, will, action. If you are not able to complete something, you need to examine those three energies in that formula and see where it may be a little weak and where you may need to work a little harder

Yogini Jaima: The first one is the power of mind. Have you thought about this goal that you've set or that which you're working towards achieving? Have you been realistic about it? Have you mapped it out on exactly the steps of how to reach it? Really do the mind work first.

Yogini Jaima: Secondly, the will, and this is where most people kind of lose it because they start stuff and they think it's great in their mind, but they don't have that energy to quite reach it. And that's where I would say you have to make it really important to you. Really think about it. Do I have the energy to fulfill that which I'm starting right now?

Yogini Jaima: And thirdly, take the action. So many things stay in our head. We daydream, we fantasize about so many things, "I'm going to go to this place, I'm going to take this course, I'm going to write this book," and we never take the action. So that's that last part of the formula of taking the action, right? So mind, will, and action are what the yogic sciences teach us of what we have to do to manifest things and create and reach our goals.

Yogi Cameron: And preparation.

Yogini Jaima: Yeah.

Yogi Cameron: What preparation does for you ... and I'm not always great at this. I like to jump into things sometimes and kind of see if the water's cold or freezing in the pool. And sometimes it bites you, right? It's really freezing, and it's not for you.

Yogini Jaima: You totally do that. You'll just dive. I'm like, "Whoa! You might want to do a little foot check there."

Yogi Cameron: Yeah, and you have to accept whatever comes, right? But when you're starting something that's going to maybe drag you into something for maybe one year, two years, five years, ten years, whatever it is ... it could be a relationship, it could be a new business ... then you've got to prepare. Why? Because during that preparation, you'll start to see if actually this is for you. Is this relationship for you? Is this project for you? Is this business for you?

Yogi Cameron: I've started many different things, and when I've started to prepare, I've realized, "Oh, I can't do that. I'm going to need some help with that," or "These are the steps I'm going to have to prepare with," or "Actually, this isn't even for me." And that's what preparation does for you. So exactly the steps Jaima's talking about is after that, but the first step, for me, is preparation.

Yogini Jaima: Well, preparation would actually be that first energy I'm talking about.

Yogi Cameron: Oh, the mind. Of the mind.

Yogini Jaima: The mind, yeah.

Yogi Cameron: Of course. Yeah, so first step, in the mind. Am I prepared for this, how do I prepare for this, how long is it going to take me, and all of those things. And then you'll get into the willpower. And I agree, willpower will be tougher because willpower is ... you know, we all get excited at the beginning of the journey, but when we're into it a thousand miles, we're like, are we there yet? And some things that matter, we're never going to be there yet, because it's developing. So that's a great point. The three Shaktis are what you've going to work with, those-

Yogini Jaima: Shakti is energy, so it's actually called three Shaktis within you, three energies with you.

Yogi Cameron: Yeah, and I think we should speak about this more in Inspire Living.

Yogini Jaima: Yeah, it's a great topic, and really getting into the Shaktis and how to empower each one of those so you can have fulfillment in life and reach those goals that you want to reach.
