AN AYURVEDIC REMEDY FOR STRENGTHENING THE DIGESTION

Yogi Cameron: Hi everyone, this is Yogi Cameron.

Yogini Jaima: And I'm Yogini Jaima.

Yogi Cameron: And this is Inspire Living.

Yogini Jaima: We are going to show you an Ayurvedic remedy for digestion.

Yogi Cameron: Yeah. And everybody's got bad digestion, or poor digestion, or digestion needs some kind of help. Here we have something simple that's super powerful.

Yogi Cameron: We start with Himalayan salt, it's hot in nature, great for digestion. You don't use too much of it though, 'cause it can dry you out. You don't want that.

Yogi Cameron: We have pepper, black pepper. Now, pepper is hot, but it's not hot like spicy, something like chilies, so it's great for the stomach and warming it up.

Yogi Cameron: And we have ginger, here we're using fresh ginger. It's not as strong as the dry ginger, but it does the job.

Yogi Cameron: Here we have lemon juice. Lemon juice is wonderful, it's starts acidic, goes into your stomach, becomes alkaline. If you have over acidity, it's one of the main herbs we use, or fruits I should say.

Yogi Cameron: And then we have honey. Honey is warm in nature, it's like a sedative, but it's great for digestion as well. And then when you mix them up, this is a super power potent-

Yogini Jaima: So, let's mix this. Okay, we're using two tablespoons of honey, two tablespoons of lemon juice, one tablespoon of fresh grated ginger, a quarter teaspoon of black pepper, a quarter teaspoon of Himalayan salt. Then we're going to mix it all together.

Yogini Jaima: This container is what I keep in the refrigerator. So this can keep for days if not a week. And you can take a spoonful of it before you have your meal. Yogi, you want to have a spoonful?

Yogi Cameron: I'm not having a meal.

Yogini Jaima: But it's so good, I like to take a spoonful all the time.

Yogi Cameron: Let's see. Hmm, spicy, the lemon is kind of tangy, I can feel the ginger, and then the pepper.

Yogini Jaima: And you can adjust the quantity of the pepper and the salt and the ginger according to your own taste. But these are basically the ingredients. Stir it up, keep it in a container in the refrigerator, and then take a spoonful before your meals.
